sammā-ājīva (Pali - right livelihood) is an ancient principle based on the concept of ahiṁsā, or harmlessness, and essentially states that one ought not to engage in trades or occupations which, either directly or indirectly, result in harm to other living beings.
ājīva firmly believes that true free-trade, outsourcing and, especially, global sourcing satisfies sammā-ājīva. Managed properly, global trade and outsourced and offshored relationships can provide a true win : win : win for individuals, companies and societies at large, allowing competition, growth and fair trade to flourish based on creativity, risk-taking, professional development and comparative-cost advantage.
